Tara Camogie 7s 2018

With just a week to go final preparations are underway for our Camogie 7s tournament. With all the heavy rain this last few weeks, there is a bit of concern over some of the pitches but we will see over the coming week and work a plan as best we can if necessary. Delighted to have 3 visiting teams from Ireland to compete in the Senior Competition and European combined team for the Junior competition. We welcome Cappagtaggle, Co Galway who started organising their end before we had even set the date and 2 teams from Limerick Ballybrown Camogie club based in Clarina and Patrickswell who we met at the Munster 7s 2017. Tara win the Birmingham Womens Festival Tournament - March 2018

Congrats to the Tara selection that travelled to Birmingham. Having lost out to Fullen Gaels last year, this year we beat them in the Final and Sarah McNicholl picked up the player of the tournament award. Senior Championship Update 2017

With just 4 teams in the Senior competition, Tara top the table after all preliminary rounds. Semi finals will be weekend 8th October 2017. The Final is fixed for Saturday 14th October 2017 to be held at McGovern Park, Ruislip. Excited for the girls/teams that will be able to play at the new London GAA grounds. Read More >>>>

Intermediate Championship Final 2017 - Tara progress to the Final but Mitchells too strong.

It was a London v Birmingham affair and what a great achievement for the Intermediate team to make it to the Intermediate Final. Despite not having a massive squad and suffering a couple of injuries to key players, we made it to the Final. John Mitchells were deservant winners on the day. Tara Camogie 7s 2017 - Saturday 29th April 2017

Our Annual Camogie 7s was a huge success. Visiting teams appeared in the finals. Clare neighbours Scariff and Clooney Quinn battled it out in the Getjar Senior Cup. Clooney Quinn picked up the Cup with Deirdre Murphy picking up the Senior Player of the Tournament Award as voted by the referees. Our Senior team faced Bridini Oga of Antrim for the CKO Shield and with great performances from Ellen Kelly and Sarah McNicholls ensured some silverware for Tara. The combined team from Europe won the Junior Cup beating Tara, whilst Bros Pearse took the Junior Shield after a close contest with Thomas McCurtains. As usual a big thank you to our Sponsors:

Volunteer of the Year - Delighted to announce that Joni Traynor was voted Britain Club Volunteer of The Year 2016. Joni was honoured at a Dinner in Croke Park. Current Junior Club Champions Johnstownbridge of Kildare, retained the Leinster title by beating Kilmessian and we met again in the quarter final. Tara retain the senior crown after beating Croydon 1-3 v 3 - 11 to win the All-Britain senior title. London President Etty Kelly presented Captain Helen Muphy with the Cup and Sarah McNicholl with the Player of the Match award. Tara Camogie 7s 2016 - Saturday 30th April 2016

Not long to our Camogie 7s on Saturday 30th April 2016. Broadford, Bunclody and Brocagh are our confirmed visitors from home and we expect all the UK clubs to particiate also in this one-day event. 2016 is our 30th Anniversary so a number of past players will travel over the weekend to meet up and reminise. Games will start by 11am with Finals approx 4pm. Band and DJ will continue into the night at the Clubhouse in TCG. All welcome.

The Junior Championship Semi final was held in Greenford on Saturday between Tara of London and John Mitchells of Birmingham. After a tough battle Tara won on a score line of 1-6 to 3-7 in what was a fantastic display of Camogie.

Camogie training back on for 2015
Camogie training sessions have just restarted for the 2015 season. Sessions will vary between astro turf / indoor / outdoor etc depending on pitch availability, lights etc. Once the clocks go back we will revert to Monday and Wednesday sessions with some weekend events also. We have both Junior and Senior teams so welcome players of all standards to our sessions. If you are new to London its a great way to make instant friends and keep fit. Tara Underage sessions run each Monday from 6.30pm to 7.30pm and we welcome children aged 6 years and older to learn the skills of camogie and put them into practice through mini-games.

Underage training will resume on Monday 2nd September from 6.30pm.

We will be competing in the Tara GFC hosted Ladies Football and Camogie Underage tournament on Saturday 13th September at Tir Chonaill Park, Greenford, which is being sponsored by J Ffrench Ltd.

Hurls and helmets will be provided and players are welcome to bring their own equipment. Players should wear sports kit and bring football boots or trainers and shin pads if possible. Bring a drink also. We would appreciate if new-comers could register in advance by calling Sheila on 0777 1957 341.

Tara Camogie London 7s 2014 - 26th April 2014

Our 8th annual Camogie 7s competition was held on Saturday and we welcomed Castletara of Cavan and Holycross of Tipperary as our visitors from home with London and Birmingham teams also competing. For the second year running Tara took both the Junior and Senior honours.
